Moina Shaiq, a California resident, grandmother and community activist who calls herself an “ordinary Muslim,” will appear at the Montclair church for a public forum, during which she will speak about her life in America and answer questions such as:
- “Are women oppressed in Islam?”
- “How does Islam view other religions?”
- “What is Sharia Law?”
- “What is the Islamic view of terrorism?”
The event takes place from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1 at First Congregational Church, 40 South Fullerton Avenue in Montclair.
