Driven by the compelling market forces of 1.8 billion Muslims, a global halal cosmetics and toiletries sector is emerging. This untapped demographic represents one of the world’s fastest growing consumer segments. According to Thomson Reuters data, expenditure on halal cosmetics is worth $56 billion a year, accounting for seven per cent share of the global cosmetics market.
